LGF's candidate on the way out

Hey, learn to consistently spell President Giuliani correctly, you're going to be using it a lot in the future. - lizard operative 'anonymous' in our comments section earlier this month

So, Chuckie, what went wrong? All that shilling for Rudy doesn't seem to have carried much weight in Florida. How about excreting providing some more of your insightful political analysis a little closer to home and telling us who's to blame for this debacle?

Getting around LGF's redirection

Readers have been pointing out that Charles has resumed his cowardly practice of redirecting links from hostile blogs (such as this one) to the IDF website.

There's a simple way of getting round this problem, and that's to download the de-refer script for Firefox and configure it for LGF.

Granted, CJ can still block individual IPs (and he does), but for that problem there's another solution: proxies.

Hey, Charles, haven't you heard the fundamental rule of the Interweb yet? Information wants to be free!

P.S.: Nice catch, Sphinx!

Is Charles Johnson wired...

..when he writes his blog? We're just asking cos he plays up the "Romney was wired" meme, conveniently forgetting that he pooh-pooed a similar rumor about Bush's little helper.

Time to lay off the drugs, Chuckie!

Charles Johnson {hearts} Silvio Berlusconi

Lizard king Johnson, normally so coy about declaring who he's for (as opposed to who he's against), has given Silvio Berlusconi the thumbs up to become Italy's prime minister (once again).

CJ says:

Anti-American socialist Italian prime minister Romano Prodi is out, after less than two years in office. Didn’t take the Italians long to tire of him

The comment displays a certain lack of understanding of a) who Prodi is and what his politics are and b) how Prodi left office, but never mind - Berlusconi's "resurgent".

For those (like Charles) who don't follow Italian politics closely our advice is to read a little bit about the Berlusconi's career, his political opinions, and his shady financial dealings. You could do worse than start at Wikipedia. If you want to learn more, why not see what that well-known "communist rag" (Berlusconi's words) The Economist has to say about him. And if you've still not had enough, why not hop over to Amazon and buy a book about contemporary Italian politics?

Does that sound too much like hard work, little lizard? Thought so. It's much easier to just spout uninformed nonsense and be done with it, isn't it?

Charles doest protest too much

CJ's tortuous condemnation of various fellow wingnuts has finaly been noticed else elsewhere in the blogosphere.

The weird world of Charles Johnson, #28674

How can you tell a leftist in South Carolina?

According to Charles Johnson that person:

- panders to evangelical Christians
- defends the right to display racist symbols
- and advocates discriminating against illegal immigrants.

Oh, ain't it a weird and wonderful world out there...

Charles Johnson: peace = surrender!

Senior foreign affairs analyst Charles Johnson has laid down the ground rules for solving the Middle East conflict by asserting that an Israeli withdrawal from occupied Lebanese, Syrian and Palestinian territory would amount to surrender.

Of course, CJ doesn't actually explain WHY ending its foreign occupation would be a surrender, and he doesn't offer an alternative solution to achieving peace in the region.

Cynics might say that's because Johnson & Co. don't want peace, because they benefit from the conflict and because they don't actually give a shit about ordinary people over there as long as there's an opportunity to pontificate about a war most of America doesn't really understand.

We're inclined to agree with the cynics.

BDS at LGF

Two days after the fact, Senior Middle East Analyst Charles Johnson finally got around to mentioning Dubya's Sword Dance with his BFFs in Saudi Arabia.

A sampling of the lizards' reactions:

traitor ... Stop it, George. Just stop it. ... It's idiocy such as this that gave Ron Paul room to run. ... what did he say he wanted his legacy to be? Totally selling out Israel for his Saudi buds? ... Today I am embarrassed to be an American. ... Primitive tribal dance. This is a disgrace. ... Just keep on yukking it up, you filthy excuse for a President of the United States. ... God DAMN! What the fuck is WRONG WITH HIM? ... Does our President have NO shame? ... I just threw up a little in my mouth. ... what an ass, i personally cant think of anythingbad [sic] enough to call him or the ass who sells us hte [sic] oil ... Insanity all around. Laura Bush is numb too, with her hijab disgrace... What the hell was she thinking? And now her husband does even worse. ... He's sickening. I think every move Bush has made has been at the behest of his Saudi masters, including invading Iraq and getting rid of that troublemaking Saddam. ... I think Bush must be saying "Allahu Akbar" in between yuks. ... he looks drugged. so awkward and goofy. another propaganda coup for the enemy ...

and so on.

And the winner is:

You know I was a big I mean big supporter of Bush. I worked at a TV station and God knows I took my share of crap defending him. But now I think he is just a spoiled rich kid. he reminds me of the son of the guy that ran and owned a good portion of the place. Daddy gave him everything. He was a total dumbshit who thought he knew it all and daddy of course backed his every stupid move. God if Democrats where not such total wastes of breathable air they could have beat him in the last election lesser of to evils is getting old in the elections for sure

To us, the only surprise is that any lizard could possibly have been surprised by any of this.

Ah, diggums

The Sphinx writes:

Charles and his Hordes are acting willfully stupid again. There was some accusation on Digg towards LGF that they started to use the "subhuman" label to describe Arabs. Charles - being as sly as he is - claims that this is completely untrue because he has never done that himself.

Here's the post

However, his sheep squad also claim that there was never ANY incident of the term falling on LGF to describe anyone (For example see #10 and #3, who had the brain cells to quickly point out that everyone who said it was banned "instantly")

But whoops, there's one

Oh, here's another

And another

And their profiles are still there. The comments still stand, so these are users that have apparently NOT been banned. So either Charles and his minions are too stupid to figure out what's happening on their site, or they're flat-out lying. Because finding three comments in about 10 minutes only means that there's more where that came from.

And even though Charles might not have personally labeled Arabs as "subhuman", he certainly hasn't prevented himself from using the word on a few occasions

There an important note to add to what the Sphinx said: the fact that Charles doesn't explicitly say "Arabs/Muslims are subhuman," it doesn't mean that this message isn't the subtext of his entire blog. In fact, it was the genius of Dr Spock who many, many moons ago pointed out the striking similarity between LGF's anti-Muslim propaganda and the Nazis' anti-Jewish propaganda. Take The Quiz.

Charles has been trying very hard lately to present himself as the reasonable, non-racist face of Islam hatred. But anyone who reads LGF knows that his denunciations of fascists ring hollow when the message on his website is almost identical to that of the people he condemns: Islam is evil, leftists are traitors, anyone who disagrees with me is wrong.

You've got a long way to go, Charlie-boy. And until then, expect the good folk at Digg to keep pointing out what a blazing hypocrit you are.

Wishful thinking?

It's funny how transparent Charles can be in his partisanship for or against certain US presidential hopefuls:

When Ron Paul was dropped from the Fox debate, Charles responded with derision. When Duncan Hunter got dropped, suddenly it's "Duncan Hunter counterattacks".

When Huckabee won the Republican caucus in Iowa, Charles is so angry he can't bring himself to say anything much about the result (CJ previously described Huckabee as a "a leftist in evangelist’s clothing" - presumably like a white Jesse Jackson?). When Rudy Giuliani(who got a miniscule share of the Iowa caucus) is interviewed on PJMedia, suddenly the former mayor of New York is a "Top GOP Candidate".

A lot can happen in the next few months, but don't expect your insightful analysis of events to come from LGF. The folks there have an agenda (and who knows, they might even be making a little bit of money on the side promoting certain candidates...)

Number crunching

Sometimes it's the small things that give you away.

Charles Johnson says "Things were pretty calm in Paris over New Year’s Eve—only 372 cars torched."

A few lines down, in the article he quotes, the French Interior Ministry is cited as saying that 144 cars were burned that night in the Paris region. Is Charles Johnson wilfully lying, or is he just too stupid to read properly?

pwn3d!

Dennis the Peasant has comprehensively dismantled Charles' assertion, based on an almost entirely fictitious report by a one-man anti-Muslim vigilante "group" in Ohio, that a CAIR official is "fleeing the U.S."

This is the New Journalism?
